UEFA Champions League: Round of 16 draws next Monday
The group stage of the UEFA Champions League is finally over with the final matches played on Wednesday. Notable names not making it to the round of 16 include 3-time champions Manchester United, Sevilla FC, Bayer Leverkusen and Valencia (now coached by Gary Neville). The teams who have qualified and will participate in the draws are listed after the cut;
Group Winners:
Real Madrid
Vfl Wolfsburg
Atletico Madrid
Manchester City
Barcelona
Bayern Munchen
Chelsea FC
FC Zenith
Runners-up:
KAA Gent
Dynamo Kyiv
Arsenal FC
AS Roma
Juventus
SL Benfica
PSV Eindhoven
Paris Saint-Germain
From the last 16 until the semi-finals, clubs play two games against each other on a home-and-away basis with the same rules as the qualifying and play-off rounds applied. In the last 16, group winners play runners-up other than sides from their own pool or nation, while from the quarter-finals onwards the draw is free.
