Villarreal 1-0 Liverpool: Suarez clincher (not Luis)

Villarreal will take an advantage to Anfield after beating Liverpool 1-0 in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final.
The travelling Reds looked to have secured a valuable goalless draw away in Spain, but Denis Suarez set up Adrian Lopez in the final minute of second-half stoppage-time to hand the hosts a 1-0 lead.

FA hand Alli three-game rest ahead of Euros

Dele Alli will miss the rest of Tottenham’s Premier League season after the FA confirmed his three-match ban for violent conduct.
The 20-year-old midfielder was hit with the suspension after appearing to punch West Brom’s Claudio Yacob in Monday night’s 1-1 draw between the two sides at White Hart Lane.  Alli accepted the FA charge – but saw his claims that the accompanying three-match ban would be an excessive punishment thrown out. Pep Guardiola confirmed as next City boss!!

Pep Guardiola has been confirmed as Manchester City's next manager — and he will be given a war chest to compete for £80million powerhouse Paul Pogba and £50m Everton defender John Stones.

Guardiola has agreed a three-year deal worth a record £300,000 a week, £40,000 more than Wayne Rooney, the top-earning Premier League player.

Real Madrid sack Rafael Benitez, Zidane to take over

Rafael Benítez has been sacked as the manager of Real Madrid, just seven months into a three-year contract at the Bernabéu, with Zinedine Zidane taking over.

Benítez’s Real Madrid future was decided at an emergency board meeting on Monday.
