Iniesta summed it up this way: "We only wanted to be ourselves and we have done that. We neutralised Madrid".
It proved to be one of the great Clasico pastings of recent times, Madrid were as flat and lumpen as Barca were smart and snappy. Some great goals, and wonderful movement from Suarez and Neymar. The great Iniesta also getting in on the act - and all this with Messi watching most of it from the bench! This is Barcelona's biggest Clasico win at the Bernabeu since beating Real Madrid 6-2 in May 2009.
The victory gave Barcelona a six-point lead in the Spanish league standings, and halted Madrid’s 22-game unbeaten streak at home in the league. More pixs after the cut.
I understand Ronaldo was honouring the dead in Paris..with a 90 minutes silence.
