The first goal was scored by Olivier Giroud in the 77th minute, 3 minutes after coming on for Theo Walcott, while the second was scored in the dying minutes by Mesut Oezil who forced the ball over the line despite the efforts of Bayern keeper Manuel Neuer.
Arsenal went into the match without a single point from their two games against Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiakos, but they held their own against the group leaders during an action-packed first half.
This is not enough to describe the victory by Arsenal over Bayern Munich yesterday. It was a tremendous show of wit, courage and determination from a team that everyone expected that the best result that could have favoured Arsenal was a draw at the most. I'm indeed full of praise and joy and can authoritatively say that there's a lot more to expect from the Gunners this season!
