As eight teams head home after the group stage, two days of Round of 16 matches commence today at the FIFA U17 World Cup in Chile with several footballing heavyweights battling it out for a place in the quarters.
Match of the Day: Mexico vs Chile
Runners up Mexico meet Hosts Chile in what sets itself to be a fascinating encounter. Mexico emerged unbeaten from the group stages while Chile was fortunate to get through as one of the best third place finishers. This should be an entertaining one.
Nigeria vs Australia
Both teams have previously met five times in the U17 World Cup and the Golden Eaglets have triumphed in all the meetings. They are favorite to send the Joeys back down under after proceedings end today.
New Zealand vs Brazil
The Kiwis have similar bad memories of playing Brazil with their last encounter ending in a 7-0 drubbing in 2007. The Brazilians themselves haven't been so impressive. We expect a tough game.
Belgium vs Korea Republic (South Korea)
These are the two lowest-scoring qualifiers from the group stage (each have found the net only twice in this tournament). Are we poised for a low scoring match?
